Ice Cream Social 7/6/17

Kewanna Public Library will be celebrating National Ice Cream Month with an Ice Cream Social on Thurs., July 6 at 5:00.  We will have lots of toppings to make your own sundae.  Everyone is welcome to attend!  Don’t forget to stop in at the library any day in July to vote for your favorite flavor of ice cream!

It’s Book Time with Ronald McDonald July 19 @ 3:00

Ronald McDonald will be making a special appearance at the Kewanna Public Library on Wed., July 19 @ 3:00.  Come and meet Ronald McDonald and see his fun educational show…”It’s Book Time with Ronald McDonald!”  His show will be filled with magic, puppetry, and lots of laughs.  Ronald shares his excitement for reading and helps get children excited about reading too!

The Kewanna-Union Township Public Library

2017 Summer Reading Program  May 30-July 24, 2017

How the Program Works:

  1. Readers ages up to 18 may participate in the summer reading program.
  2. Readers or their parents may register for the reading program beginning May 30.
  3. Readers will receive a record sheet to record the books you read this summer. Record sheets will be kept at the library.
  4. Library books must be checked out at KUTPL overnight in order to count for the summer reading program.
  5. Books must be returned to the circulation desk in order to be counted for summer reading. You must notify the library staff that you are participating in the summer reading program when you return your books.
  6. We will be offering a variety of programs, giveaways, and contests all summer, so pick up a list of events and drop in as often as possible.
  7. Everyone who was active in our summer reading program will be eligible to attend the Summer Reading Celebration on July 27th .
  8. All books need to be returned to the library by July 24, 2017 in order for them to count for the summer reading program.

YF & Y Nonfiction= 5 points

YA Books= 10 points
