4C Health Suicide Prevention Program

4C Health will be presenting a free suicide prevention training session on Thurs., August 14 5:30-7:00 in Kewanna Union Township Public Library.  Kewanna Union Township Public Library is located at 210 E. Main St., Kewanna, Indiana.

4C Health aims to combat this mental health crisis head-on by offering free QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training sessions for residents aged 18 and older.  QPR is a nationally recognized program that teaches participants how to identify warning signs of suicide, engage with someone who may be struggling, and connect them with the appropriate help. The program emphasizes that anyone – not just mental health professionals – can be trained to recognize and respond effectively in a crisis.

These three simple steps – Question, Persuade, Refer – can make a world of difference to prevent suicides from happening.  4C Health wants to empower community members with the tools they need to potentially save a life.

4C Health began as Four County Comprehensive Mental Health Center and serves as the designated Community Mental Health Center for Cass, Miami, Fulton, and Pulaski counties.  Everyone is welcome to attend this informative program.

Back to the Past “Our Kewanna”

Local historian, Bob Clyde, will continue his discussion of Kewanna history.  Back to the Past: “Our Kewanna” will be held on Wednesday, July 30 @ 11:00.  Back to the Past is always on the last Wednesday of the month @ 11:00.

Coffee & Tea Time is held @ 10:30 every Wednesday morning.  Plan to attend our Coffee @ Tea Time enjoying time with your neighbors and friends and then stay for Back to the Past “Kewanna”.

2025 Summer Reading Celebration at Kewanna Union Township Public Library

Kewanna-Union Township Public Library’s 2025 Summer Reading Celebration will be Thurs., July 24 @ 5:00.   All readers active in “Color Our World”, our summer reading program, and their families will want to be sure to attend.  We will be passing out summer reading certificates of completion, giving door prizes, having free give aways, serving snacks, and more.  Don’t miss this special event to honor our summer readers.  Everyone is welcome to attend!
