Borrowed ebooks, audiobooks and magazines can be enjoyed immediately in your web browser or can be downloaded to the free Libby app for mobile devices. 2018 SUMMER READING PROGRAM THEME

Readers of all ages will explore all things musical this summer as Kewanna Union Township Public Library presents “Libraries Rock” during their summer library program. Activities may include, group games, musical crafts, art projects, science and engineering experiments, and more.

The 2018 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, birth through young adult, with programs, prize drawings, story times, and more.

Registration for “Libraries Rock” begins on May 29 and the summer reading program will end on July 23.

2018 Teen Tech Week “Libraries are for Creating”

Teen Tech Week will be celebrated March 4-10 at Kewanna Public Library.  “Libraries are for Creating” is the theme of Teen Tech Week this year.  The library’s weekly teen group, Teens in Town will be hosting activities for Teen Tech Week that include a Tech Show, Texting Contest, and Tech Trivia.

Teen Tech Week promotes digital resources within libraries across the country that are available for teens and their families.  The purpose of Teen Tech Week is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of digital media, especially the nonprint resources offered through libraries, such as e-books, databases, audiobooks, and social media.

Teen Tech Week encourages teens to use libraries’ nonprint resources for education and recreation, and to recognize that librarians are qualified, trusted professionals in the field of information technology.

Calling all adult readers to sign up for our Winter Adult Reading Program.

Winter Reading Program rules:

  • Adults ages 19 and older may sign up.
  • Books must be checked out from KUTPL in order to count for the Winter Reading Program.
  • All books are due by Wed., Feb. 28th in order to count for the Winter Reading Program.
  • Every book read counts as 1 entry in our Winter Reading Program.
  • Fill out book entries for prizes when books are checked out.

 

Kewanna Fall Festival Events @ Kewanna Public Library

Kewanna Public Library has planned several special events on Saturday, September 30 in conjunction with the Kewanna Fall Festival.  These events include a Free Book Give Away, Meet & Greet for Fulton Co. Nonprofits, Patron Appreciation Day, and Story Time on the Lawn.

Kewanna Public Library will be hosting a Free Book Give Away on Sat., Sept. 30 from 9am-2pm.  Everyone is welcome to come and select books of their choice from our free give away selection.  We have books for all ages.  Stop in and pick out a bagful!

The library will also be hosting a Meet & Greet for Fulton Co. Nonprofits in our Performing Arts Room.  The Meet & Greet will be held 9am-2pm for community members to learn about local service organizations and to find out what they have to offer.  Be sure to visit the library for this special opportunity!

Kewanna Public Library will be holding a Patron Appreciation Day on Sat., Sept. 30 during the Kewanna Fall Festival.  Food will be served 11am-1pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend this annual event to show our appreciation to our library patrons!

Story Time on the Lawn will be held at 12:00 pm on Sept. 30.  Children of all ages are welcome to relax in front of the library and listen to a variety of popular children’s books.
