September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

Whether you’re upgrading your skills, scouting for knowledge and information, or connecting with other heroic readers, a library card is your key to an arsenal of resources.  Spark your creativity as a builder or programmer by tinkering during your library’s makespace time; mine the library’s stacks and databases for new stories and adventures; kick start your critical thinking skills to defeat the Decepticons of misinformation lurking online.  Hitting the road?  Use your library card to fuel your mind with books, e-Books, and audiobooks.

Read Down Your Fines! @ Kewanna Union Township Public Library

Start the New Year with no library fines!  Kewanna Union Township Public Library will be offering a fine forgiveness program “Read Down Your Fines!” to patrons 18 & under.  Readers may sign-up to participate in “Read Down Your Fines!” beginning Sept. 1, 2024.   Readers with fines accumulated at Kewanna Union Township Public Library will be eligible to participate.  The reader and their parent will be asked to sign a reading contract.  The reader must receive approval at the library in order to participate.  All books that will be used as credit for this program are to be checked out or read in the library by December 30, 2024.   Stop in at the library to sign up soon!

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity will present a program on Wed., September 4 @ 11:00 in Kewanna Union Township Public Library.  Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home.  Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.  Join us to find out more about this important outreach.
