Kewanna-Union Township Public Library

Kewanna Public Library will be hosting “Indiana Rocks” given by Joshua Martindale on Wed., June 6 @ 11:00 and Thurs., June 14 @ 5:00.  Joshua is a Kewanna resident, who has been an avid rock collector for many years.  He will share his love of rocks and will display his unique collection.

Join us at the library to learn about how to identify rocks and minerals that you find near home.  Joshua will also explain the best places to go rock hunting.

Kewanna Public Library will be hosting Hoots to Howls Wildlife Rehab Demo on Thurs., June 7 @ 5:00.  Kewanna Public Library is located at 210 E. Main St., Kewanna, IN.

Join us as Kim Hoover, president of the nonprofit organization Hoots to Howls Wildlife Rehab Inc., gives a live animal demonstration to educate the public about our local wildlife. Hoots to Howls take in sick and injured animals and rehabilitate them for release back into their natural habitat.

Kewanna Union Township Public Library will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program for the first time this year.  Free meals will be available for all children 18 years and younger.  The SFSP is also available to those over the age of 18 enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.  The Summer Food Service Program will provide lunch at the library on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning May 29 and running through August 2.  Lunches will be served 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. on those 3 days.

We’ll have free giveaways, door prizes, hotdogs, & lots of fun!

Kids of all ages are welcome!

Youth 0 to 18 are eligible to sign up for our Summer Reading Program.

“Libraries Rock” begins Tues., May 29 and ends on Mon., July 23.
